Joanne M. (Vigil) Alfaro, 72, of Toledo, OH, passed away February 6, 2004, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born March 28, 1931, to Anselmo and Frances (Ramirez) Vigil. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and also owned and operated La Palomita for many years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, dancing, bingo and helping others. Joanne was very much loved by everyone she met and was a loving and caring person. Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Enemencio; children, Frances Garcia-Urbina, Joanne (Joni), Serrano (Victor), Edward Bo (Cherie) Garcia , Gina Hernandez, Angela (Kaei) Majors, Enemencio Jr. (Lori), Gustavio (Sherita), Angelo (Debbie), Annette Terdoest, Frances (Randy) Adams, Elias (Christina); sisters, Gloria (Ray) Anders, Carmella (George) David and Theresa (Vincent) Silva. Joanne also had 34 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nichole Garcia; and brothers, Pete and Paul Ruiz. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Rd, Millbury, OH, on Sunday, from 4-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-9 p.m. with a Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
