Joanne F. Auger, 68, of Oregon, OH, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005, in her home. Joanne was born in Toledo on October 31, 1936, to John and Frances (Japp) Kanipe. She was employed at Auger's Sunoco for many years, working as a secretary. Joanne was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Oregon. Grandma was always there for her grandchildren, supporting them academically and attending their sporting events. She was an avid walker at Pearson Park with her friends, also attending swimming classes with them at Maumee Bay State Park. Joanne enjoyed quilting in her free time. Surviving is her loving husband of 50 years, Robert; sons, Terry (Patricia) and Robert (Pamela); daughters, Tammy (Thomas) Twardzik, and Amy Kish and her fiance, Vernon Meinke; grandchildren, Scott, Jaime (Jamie), Christy, Shannon (Jim), Ashley, Nick, Dru, Cody and Victoria; great granddaughter, Mackenzie; sister, Janice (Roger) Pribe and Judy (Jerry) Karwhite, and several nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Kanipe. Friends and family may visit from 2 until 9 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005, in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
