Joanne Lucille Bosch, 84 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2014, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Jo was born in Toledo on October 19, 1929 to Dr. Cletus and Gladys (Rice) Grothjan. She was a 1947 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1950 graduate of St. Vincent Medical School of Nursing, where she received her Registered Nursing Degree. She had worked for St. Vincent Hospital during her career. Jo and many of her classmates from high school and nursing school kept in very close contact with each other and she always enjoyed their visits as well as the monthly lunches they had in the past. Her true love was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her family. Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years, Raymond 'œRay'; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy (Don) Schuster, Debbie (Terry) Paul, Kim (John) Szymanski, Julie Bosch; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Rosalyn Pizza and Barbara (John) Brennan; sisters-in-law Sr. Julie Marie Bosch, SND and Pat Bosch. Jo was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerome Grothjan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdown Blvd. Toledo at 11:00 am and where her family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the funeral mass. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Keeping with Jo'™s wishes private family visitation only, will be held at Coyle Funeral Home, Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Jo'™s memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to the donor'™s choice. Jo'™s family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to her care takers, Ginger, Courtney, Robin and to the nurses from Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the love and care provide to Jo and her family during her illness.
