Joanne Joan Hamilton, 88, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 21, 2022. Joanne was born June 12, 1933 in Lambertville, Michigan to Willard and Goldia (Rhodes) Brown. On March 28, 1953, she married Frank Hamilton. She worked for Ohio Bell and Toledo Public Schools, retiring from Jefferson Center School. An active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Toledo, Joanne served on church council and was a member of the choir. A 23 year breast cancer survivor, Joanne participated in numerous events with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Joanne often sang the National Anthem for the Toledo Blades & Toledo Hornets Hockey Clubs. Joanne is survived by her sons, Bill (Terri) Hamilton, Chris Hamilton, and Rick (Maria) Hamilton; grandchildren, Jeff, Joel, Jeannie, Brittany, Trace, and Chloe; 8 great-grandchildren; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and siblings, Woodrow Brown and Velma "Judy" Chapman. A Celebration of Frank & Joanne's life will be announced in the near future.
