Joanne Romano passed away on March 12, 2015 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 30, 1934 to George and Catherine (Feizer) Fournier. Joanne cherished her husband Joe and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and siblings. Joanne believed in the spirit of Christmas as a renewal of her faith and beliefs. She enjoyed crocheting prayer blankets for neo-natal care, was a longtime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and maintained a strong faith throughout her life.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; children, Cindy (Brad) Evers, Joe (Theresa) Romano, Tony (Angie) Romano and Chris Romano; grandchildren, Brad (Debbie), Jenny (Jeff), Tim, Joe, Emily (Josh), Michael (fiancée Ashley), Eric (Wendi), Sara (Spencer), Jacquie, and Jake; great-grandchildren, Abby, Samantha, Daniel, Andrew, Gabrielle, Aubrey, Karrigan, Olivia, Calhoun, and Maverick; great-great grandson, Noah; brother, Jack Fournier; sister, Catherine Earl; best friend, Minnie D'Anniballe and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; great granddaughter, Madeleine; siblings, Jim, Bob, Rita and Joanne's twin sister, Jeanette.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin with prayers in the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 am and will proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Joanne's memory are asked to consider St. Ignatius Church, or St. Louis Helping Hands.
