Joanne Louise Schutt, 79, of East Toledo, passed away, Monday, March 31, 2008, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital surrounded by five generations of nieces and nephews. Joanne was born in Toledo on October 21, 1928, to Henry Joseph and Ida Marie (Igna) Brick. She was a seamstress for many many years for Diamond Men's Shop. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Joanne enjoyed being at her cottage, being at Rose Lake and was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed Hungarian embroidery and the women's in the embroidery class. Most of all she enjoyed being Nanny to Susie and her children, Amber, Brittney, Juliana, Christina and Joey. Joanne is survived by 5 generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence "Ike" Schutt; brothers, Herbert Albert Dietrich (Lucille), Richard Theodore, Harold Herman (Helen), Myron Leo (Virginia), Elmer Walter (Marian) Brick; sisters, Ora Mae (Aloysious) Lang, Naomi Ruth (Hank) Gross, Mildred Johanna (Carl) Krieger, Irma Bertha (Roy) Peterson, Henrietta Marie (John) White and two others siblings that passed away as infants. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Joanne's memory are asked to consider her family or St. Mark Lutheran Church, Toledo, Ohio.
