Joe T. Brewer, 73 of east Toledo left our world for a better place on Sunday, April 25, 2004 surrounded by his loving family after battling many illnesses. Joe was born in Collingwood, Tennessee on August 22, 1930 to Earl and Lilly (Thompson) Brewer. On July 26, 1963 Joe married Sharon A. Clapsaddle, who survives him. Joe had worked for L.O.F. Rossford plant as a glassworker for 29 years retiring in 1992. Prior to Joe's illnesses he enjoyed refinishing furniture. Joe is survived by in addition to his wife, are children SSgt. Joe T. Jr. (Bonita) Brewer, Ohio Army Guard, Gail Brewer Hearn of California, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Helen Moore, Virginia Oxford, Dave Brewer, Earl Brewer, Elizabeth Taylor; his dog Chummy. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Iva Brewer, son, Gary F. Brewer, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury where visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
