Joe Tom Brewer Jr., 52, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 21, 2005. Joe was a soldier all of his life. After his graduation from Waite High School in 1970 he joined the US Marines and served in Vietnam. He also joined the Army National Guard in California and Oregon, served his country in various parts of the world. Joe moved back to Toledo in 2002 to be reunited with his high school sweetheart Bunny. He joined the 612th Ohio Army National Guard and was a member until his retirement in April of 2005. He was very proud of his service to his country. Joe also was a member of VFW Post 3265 in Point Place. Joe leaves behind to cherish his loving memories his loving wife, Bonita (Bunny); stepmother, Sharon Brewer; sister, Gail Hearn; daughters, Valerie and Rhonda Brewer; stepson, Charles (Sabrina) Good and seven grandchildren and "His Girl" Millie. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Sr.; mother, Bonnie and brother, Gary. Family & friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue where visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2005 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 1:00 pm on Tuesday and will include VFW Post #3265 services. There will be no committal service.
