Joe Bill Tye, 66, of Millbury, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jellico, TN, November 21, 1943 to John and Etha (Jones) Tye. Joe was employed with Kaiser Aluminum Chemical for 24 years, retiring in 1991. Joe served as president of Steel Workers Union #7238. Joe was a member of North End Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed horse racing, playing cards with friends, hunting, fishing, and was an avid gun collector and trap shooter. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda, children, Connie Jo (Walt) Schwiefert and Michael (Amanda) Tye; grandchildren, Sara, Cody, Caitlyn, Kari, Kaci, Austin, and Dylan; brothers, Clayton (Lois) Tye and John Tye. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clarence. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S.
