Obituary

John Ahumada, 72, of Oregon, OH passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in Orchard Villa. He was born on July 27, 1932 in Toledo, OH to Clemente and Maria (Sanchez) Ahumada. John was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Korean War. He was employed by AP Parts as a supervisor for 30 yrs., retiring in 1985. John was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the 40/8, Arthur Daly American Legion Post, the Korean War Vets Association, the Latins United Club, volunteered at St. Peter & Paul Church and enjoyed woodworking. John's true joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 51 yrs., Connie; son, Dan (Sandee); grandchildren, Josephine (Robert) Rohrs, Holly (Kevin) Good, Jason (Marci) Ahumada and Bryan Ahumada; great grandchildren, Justin, Margaret, Ava, Breanna, Zachary, McKayla and Jocelyn; sisters, Lucy (Charles) Weaver and Anita Duran; brother, Wallace Ahumada; John was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. with the following services beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Arthur Daly American Legion Post followed by 40/8 and Korean War Vets. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to Holy Rosary Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in John's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
