John M. "Mike" Armstrong, 78, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Celina, Ohio on March 31, 1946 to Warren and Hazel (Hinkle) Armstrong. Mike graduated from St. Mary's Memorial High School and in January of 1966 he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country on the USS Maddox. On July 30, 1966 he married the love of his life, Ruth E. (Rutledge). Mike was a long-time member of the Calvary UB Church in Rockford, Ohio where he was the youth leader, Sunday School teacher, and also served on several board positions. Later he moved his family to Walbridge, Ohio and is now a member of Mainstreet UB Church. Mike was a journeyman electrician working for the Chrysler company and Toledo machining. He enjoyed vacationing with his family in Indian River Michigan. Mike was a selfless man, doing anything he could for anyone and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth; sons, Todd (Sharon) Armstrong, Jeffrey Armstrong, David (Chanhome Khemmarath) Armstrong; daughter, Stephanie (Ross) Steep; grandchildren, Zachary, Riley (Kyle), Brandon (Emily), Claire, Cameron, Michael, Jace, Luke, Mikayla; 1 great-grandson coming in May; and special family members, Mina and Yona; and sisters, Sandy (Allen) Hall and Sharon (Steve) Latimer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline Martin Rd, Walbridge, OH 43465, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Mike's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Mainstreet Church Third Thursday Ministry.
