John E. "Jack" Bihl, 90, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice. John was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 19, 1925 to Elmer and Marion (Allison) Bihl. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and the University of Detroit. A devout Catholic, John was a lifelong member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and prayed the Rosary faithfully. John enjoyed a long career with First Federal Bank of Toledo. He loved attending theatre productions and was a world traveler, always meeting new friends along the way and keeping an eye out for a local parish to attend Mass. John made others feel unconditionally valued and accepted, who demonstrated love and kindness in small but not insignificant ways.
John is survived by numerous family members and friends throughout the world. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rod on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 am in Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 729 White Street, Toledo, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.
