John "Butch" Blair passed away, Sept 30, 2024 at Toledo Hospital, after a valiant and private fight with cancer for the past year. John was born on February 1, 1954 to Howard and Roberta (Lemke) Blair. John was a very private and solitary man. He had many artistic skills, but his specialty was horses. He loved horses and worked with them in the stables for many years. He also was a talented carpenter and made many beautiful pieces. Throughout his life John found joy in nature, fishing and spending time at his family's cottage on Devils Lake.

John is survived by his brother, Bruce (Terri) Blair; sisters, Becky (Danny) McWatters and Beth Blair; many nieces and nephews and his loyal 4-legged companion, Bear. Preceding John in death are his parents; wife, Micah; son, Michael; and sister, Roberta. A very special thank you to Debra and Jerry Everts for their friendship, love and care of John.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH, 43616 on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 7:00 p.m.
