Obituary

John I. Campbell, 74, of Genoa, OH, passed away Friday, November 10, 2006, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Toledo, OH on August 30, 1932, to Avander "Andy" and Margaret (Beller) Campbell. John was a 1950 graduate from Waite High School and served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. John retired from C-R Trailer & Body Works, Inc., which he owned and operated from 1959 to 1997. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, reading and refurbishing automobiles, especially his Packards. John was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Genoa. Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Joanne (Herron); children, Scott (Kathy), Perrysburg, Kimberly (Kevin) Youster, Northwood, Steve (Karen), Genoa and Rick (Anne), Holland; brothers, Jim (Mary) and Richard Campbell; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; special sisters-in-law, Billie (Fred) McIntosh and Janet Campbell; several aunts and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pauline Avers. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, on Saturday, November 11, 2006 from 4-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with interment following in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Dr. Jeff Muler and the staffs of St. Charles Mercy Hospital Cancer Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their kind care and concern Visitation: Visitation Times 4-9 pm Saturday / 2-9 pm Sunday Millbury Chapel
