John F. DeGasto Jr., 51, of Perrysburg, OH passed away April 4, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in New Castle, PA on June 21, 1954 to John and Evelyn (Collins) DeGasto Sr. John Jr. was owner operator of DeGasto Shoe Repair from 1983-1997 and was employed as a Tarta bus driver from 1978-1996. He was a lieutenant with the Perrysburg Township Fire Dept. and EMT and a member of the Oregon Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife, Pam DeGasto; children, Jason (Laura) and Justin (Nicole); grandchildren, Conner and Monica; sister and brothers, Darlene (Dave) Olive, Roger (Diane) and Terry (Vickie), father-in-law, Mervin Cornell. John was preceded in death by is parents, uncle, Bud Miller and Mother-in-law, Wilma Cornell. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Oregon Church of the Nazarene, 2350 Starr Ave. on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. where the family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in John's memory are asked to consider his family.
