John A. Gibbons, 68, of Oregon, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 19, 2005, surrounded by his loving family in Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH, March 2, 1937, to James and Myrtle (Swanson) Gibbons. Jack had a love for the water and after high school he was employed with Ogleby/ Norton as a wheelsman. He was then employed with the Unitcast Corp., the Chrysler Corp. and retired in 1999 from Pre-Finished Metals/MSC as a machine repairman after 18 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Jack enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar and harmonica. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all. Jack married the love of his life, Margaret Pirolli, on January, 23, 1960, in Holy Rosary Church and is survived by her and their children, Mary Kay (Frank) Stobinski, Anna Marie (Chris) Gibbons, John (Terrie) and Michael; grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Kathryn, John Henry, Thomas, Kristin, Matthew and Elizabeth; mother-in-law, Mary L. Pirolli; sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Pirolli; brother-in-laws, Albert Jr. (Paulette) and James (Nancy) Pirolli; sisters, Helen Jo (Bob) Molnar and Sandra (Willie) Bodi and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James and Robert. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Monday, November, 21, 2005, from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
