John Cummings Haskins, 90, of Curtice, Ohio and formerly of Walbridge passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007, at Genoa Care Center. John was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on June 17, 1917, to Lacey John and Grace (Cummings) Haskins. He was a WWII Marine Veteran. John retired from Sun Oil in 1972 after 30 years of service. After retiring, he moved to Palm Springs, California where he was the manager of Coach Homes for 25 years returning to Ohio in 1998. In his spare time John loved to carve wood; but his real love was spending time with his family. Surviving are his daughter, Joyce Ann (Jerry) Pryke; step-daughter, Diane (Charles) Ramm; son-in-law, Bill Anderson; sister, Nola Mae Dahms; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Geraldine, Carolyn, daughters, Jackie Anderson, Donna Jean Shaner; grandson, Michael Anderson. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Friday from 1-9 p.m. and where his funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Private interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park.
