John Hedrick, 81, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away December 11, 2004, at Harborside Healthcare-Point Place. He was born on October 17, 1923, to George and Annie (Harper) Hedrick. John was an Army World War II veteran serving under Gen. George Patton. He was a crane operator with American Shipbuilding for 32 years, retiring in 1980.
John is survived by his sons, Don (Kathy), Bob and Jack Hedrick; daughter, Kathy (Dennis) Graff; sister, Ev Mallow; grandchildren, Kim Hill, Greg Graff and Amy (Danny) Kiss; 4 great-grandchildren; former wife of 50 years, Mildred Huffman Hedrick, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Larry and George.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Monday, December 13, 2004, from 2 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions in John's memory may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
