John Marchal, 57, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away at Mercy St. Charles Hospital on April 5, 2014. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 26, 1956 to Eldred and Kathryn (Dayton) Marchal. John was a 1974 graduate of Waite High School. On March 28, 1987 he married the love of his life, Lorie Olsen. He worked in the Mercy Healthcare System as a graphic designer and later a supervisor. In his earlier years John was an avid softball player and loved taking family vacations. John enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, fly tying 'œJohnny Bugs', riding his bike and being outdoors. He was well known for being a practical joker, heckling others along with his brother, but most of all for being a loving husband, devoted father, and caring friend. Surviving is his loving wife of 27 years, Lorie; Daughter, Samantha (Kevin Meyer); brother, Dennis and Christine Marchal; sister, Theresa and Manuel Reyes; in-laws, Jim and Rhonda Trout, Mike and Terri Dains; nieces, Sylvia and Monica Reyes; nephews, Bill and Elsa Dains, Bryan Dains, Dan (Charis) Olsen, Cory and Randy Trout; and a universe of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. To respect John'™s wishes funeral services will be private.
