Obituary

John F. Masney, 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on May 18, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Elizabeth (Koscho) Masney. He was a graduate of Waite High School and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. On September 9, 1984, he married Alice Campbell. For 30 years, John worked as a warehouse manager with Tools Unlimited. John enjoyed swimming, golfing, and was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Bears Fan. His true passion was spending time with his family and close friends who he shared many great memories with over the years. John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Alice; son, Joseph Masney; step children, Charles Rothlisberger, Steven (Mary) Rothlisberger, and Christy (Del) Marlow; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sister Andre Marie Masney, S.N.D., Louis (Sharon) Masney, Bobbie Masney-Hyter, and Margo Fern; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Andrea Brown. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. Private interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park.
