John Methena Jr. 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on December 8, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by his family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 24, 1947 to John Sr. and Dorothy (Large) Compton. John was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for TARTA as a bus driver for 25 years before retiring in 1995. John enjoyed playing card games with his friends, going to the racetrack and spending time with his grandkids and family. John is survived by his daughters, Jill Methena, Nicole (Mansberger); son Joshua Methena; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Brianna Mansberger, Myah, Tony, Monica, and Madison Methena; brothers Bill (Kay) Methena, Mike Methena and Jim (Melanie) Sharp; sisters, Diana Chasteen, Beth (Bob) Curavo and Kathy Chasteen; godson, John (Jennifer) Segura; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and best friend Chuck Segura. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S.
