John "Jack" P. Palicki, Sr., 83, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in the Arbors at Oregon, with his family
at his side. He was born June 19, 1920 in Toledo, OH to Anthony and Mary Palicki. Jack was employed as a toolmaker, working 19 years at National Supply and 25 years at GM Powertrain, retiring in 1985. He was a past recording secretary for the UAW Local 14, a member of Unity United Methodist Church and a past member of St. Catherine Church. Jack served in the Civilian Conservation Corp in the late 1930s.
Surviving are his wife Betty M.; daughters, Linda L. Palicki, Juanita A. (Gary) Kohn, Janice M. (Jim)
Pharmakidis; sons, John Jr. (Diana) and Jeffrey A.; step-daughter, Sharon M. Champion; step-sons, Dennis F.(Cathy) Rost, Mark T. (Annie) Crawford; brother, Bernie (Anita); sister, Gerri (Ervin) Klocko and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Dolores in 1983; daughter, Nancy Palicki; grandchild, Alexis M. Pharmakidis and several brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy
Road, Oregon, OH on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Jack's memory can be made to Unity
United Methodist Church.
