On September 22, 1956 John H. Pfaff and Madeleine J. Charron of Oregon, Ohio, were married in Verdun, Quebec. As John and Madeleine shared their love for each other, they were together in life and in death; as they passed away two days apart. They were blessed with their loving children that survive them, Gerald, Carol (Bill) Foster, Linda (Gil) Rubley, Thomas (Vivian), Michael (Diana) Pfaff.
John, 77, passed away, Tuesday, August 17, 2010 after a brief illness. John was born in Toledo, on December 15, 1932 to Herman and Agnes (Flory) Pfaff. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. After 45 years of employment John retired in 1994 from the ConRail Railroad where he worked as a conductor, brakeman.
Madeleine, 74, passed away, Thursday, August 19, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Madeleine was born on June 21, 1936 in Verdun, Québec to Leon and Laurette (Brazeau) Charron. Both, Madeleine and John were faithful and active members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
In addition to their children John and Madeleine are survived by their grandchildren, Alan, Jennifer, Billy, Stephen, Christopher, Sarah and Craig. John is survived by his brother, Robert Pfaff. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, George, Margaret and Marilyn. Madeleine is survived by her siblings, Jean (Flo) Charron, Theresa DuFour, Suzanne Cowan and Guy (Michelle) Charron. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation for John and Madeleine will be held Sunday from 1-9 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road where the recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 am and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in John'™s and Madeleine'™s memory are asked to consider St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Services: Monday, 10:00 a.m.
Interment: St. Ignatius Cemetery
