John D. Raufer, 53, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 20, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. John was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 26, 1964 to Charles and Theora Raufer. On June 15, 2000 he married Jill Greek. John was a meat packer by trade and was a dedicated fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys. John is survived by his wife, Jill; children, Matthew Raufer, Melinda Raufer, and Daniel Raufer; step-son, Chris Kasior; granddaughter, Morgaine Kasior; sister, Lisa (Casey) Pickard; goddaughter, Aubrey Pickard; aunt, Laura Harris; along with many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at Christ United Methodist Church 5757 Starr Avenue Extension, Oregon on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 12:00pm.
