John (Jack) A. Simkus, 69, of Millbury, OH died
peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on
Sunday, January 8, 2006.
Jack proudly served his country for 20 years in the
Air Force retiring in 1975. He then worked for the
pipe fitters Local #50 before founding the family
business, Commercial Waterworks.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Eleanor (Okos) of
47 years; four children: Thomas, Jacqueline (Jeff)
Conley, Kelly (Marilyn), and Bruce (Megan); nine
grandchildren; one great-grandson; mother Betty
Simkus; special Aunt Delores Sedlak and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Alexander J.
Simkus and his birth mother Patricia A. (Sedlak)
Powers, and his grandmother Anna Sedlak.
No formal services will be held. A memorial mass for
family and friends will be on Saturday, January 21,
2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church on
the corner of Genesee and Consaul Streets in Toledo.
