John Eugene Southard., 74, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2021. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 18, 1947 to Wesley and Jean (Fugate) Southard. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving as a military police officer. John worked at GM Powertrain in the gear lab for over 20 years, before retiring in 1998. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching movies. He is survived by his sister, Ann (Alan) Ramasocky; children, Anthony Southard and Amy Soncrant; along with four grandchildren and many loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street, Walbridge Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 10:30 am until time of funeral mass at 11:00 am.
