John R. Todd, 70, of Curtice, OH, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2004, in Lake Placid, FL. He was born in Elliot County, Kentucky on February 9, 1934, to Everett and Mary (Adkins) Todd. John served in the US Marines during the Korean War. Mr. Todd was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad as a brakeman/conductor for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Genoa Masonic Lodge, Northwood Church of God and Community Church of God in Lake Placid.
Surviving are his wife, Anna; sons, James (Virginia) Todd, John Todd, Jr. and Robert (Joyce) Goe; brothers, Drexel and Ray Todd; sisters, Edna Lewis and Nannie Spencer; grandchildren, James Jr., Darren and Sean Todd. John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lewis and Everett, and sister, Ruth Fannin.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Northwood Church of God. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
