John R. Uhrman Sr., 92, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Bay Park Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 3, 1933 to Charles and Hulda (Zingg) Uhrman. John Graduated from MaComber High School in 1951 and went to work for Dohler Jarvis as a tool & dye maker retiring in 1991 as a Chief Engineer after 41 years of service. He married the love of his life, Shirley (Olejniczak) on May 2, 1953. He was a member of Holy Rosary church until its closing and was currently a member at St. Ignatius. John enjoyed wintering in Ft. Meyers Florida with his wife, remodeling his rental properties but most importantly, spending time with his loving family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 72 years, Shirley; son, John (Fran) Uhrman Jr.; daughter, Patricia Gordon; grandchildren, Lauren Uhrman and Sam Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Clarence "Clancy" Gordon; and 5 siblings.

Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.

To My Husband: You were braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you thought. You were Loved more than you know. If I could have given you one more thing in Life, it would have been the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you have realized how special you were to me. You were My Everything, You were My Gift from God, and my Soul Mate!
