John O. Valentine, 92, of Toledo passed away November 15, 2004 in his residence. He was born in Lancaster, OH on February 26, 1912 to David and Matilda (Reed) Valentine. John was a long time employee of Fry Brothers where he worked in heating and cooling. He was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church and the Eagles on Jackman Road. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gary Schaefer; grandchildren, Chris and Blaine McDowell, Brent, Adam, and Jordan Schaefer; great grandchildren, Evan and Landon McDowell; special companion, Marian Geyer and many sisters. John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vera Valentine and daughter, Sharon Valentine. Friends and family may visit at Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Wednesday from 1-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
