John R. Wagner, 68, passed away on December 11, 2015 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 6, 1947 to Paul and Wilma (Sass) Wagner. John was a Clay High School graduate who went on to Owens Community College where he achieved dual Associate Degrees. He worked for Libbey Glass for 27 years before retiring in 2002. John was a past President of the Oregon Jaycees and Libbey Glass Golf League. He loved fishing and collection coins. His favorite pastime was being with his pride and joy, his grandchildren. John is survived by his sons, Brent R. and Brad W. (Christina) Wagner; brother, David Wagner; former spouse, Linda Wagner; grandchildren, Stella, Ruby, Vincent and Roman Wagner. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial to a charity of the donor's choice.
