John G. Zukas, 69, of Oregon, Ohio passed away suddenly on Friday, March 29, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Moline, Illinois on December 12th, 1943 to George and Johanna (Sharkey) Zukas. John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and worked as a Sr. manager most recently with the American Paper Group, Inc. Surviving are his son, Mark R. (Peggy) Zukas of College Grove, TN; daughter, Suzanne M. Zukas of Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Ella and Lainey Peace and Logan and Morgan Zukas; sister, Johanna (Ray) Schatteman of East Moline, IL; nephew, Shawn (Nicole) Schatteman and great nephew, Blake Schatteman. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Gardens, 1201 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline, IL.
