Jose Casares, 92, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Arbors of Oregon. He was born on November 14, 1926 in Mercedes, Texas. After high school, Jose joined the Army. He worked in Quality Control for General Tire for over 30 years, before retiring. Jose enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping. His favorite place to visit was Walter Hayes State Park. Jose is survived by his children, Brenda (Tim) Cook, Duane (Barb) Casares, Dawn Casares and Douglas (Cathy) Casares; grandchildren, James, Scott and Brian Cook, Aaron Casares, Angela Shinavar and Stacey Casares; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amada Casares, parents; children, Ronald and Rodney Casares, Grandson, Alex Casares; and brother, Pete Casares. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
