Jose M. Montalvo Jr., 86, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Jose was born in Robstown, Texas on April 5, 1927 to Jose Montalvo and Manuela (Montez) Zuniga. Jose was a WW II veteran of the US Army. Jose was employed with Libbey Owens Ford as a glassworker for 32 years, retiring in 1980. His hobbies included dancing and renovating homes. Jose is survived by his children; Jose (Angie) Montalvo, John (Sandra) Montalvo, Anita (Richard Lucero) Montalvo, and James (Rose Marie) Montalvo; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Victoria Zuniga and Petra Zuniga. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Teresa. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, June 19th from 4:00 pm ��" 8:00 pm and Thursday, June 20th from 2:00pm ��" 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 21st at 9:30 am in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor'™s choice.
