Josefa Ruiz Martinez, 97, of Oregon, OH passed away on December 25, 2006 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in San Antonio, TX on August, 27, 1909 to Apolonio and Guadalupe (Ochoa) Ruiz.  Josefa was employed by Hirzel Canning Company for 19 years retiring in 1984. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Josefa was well known for her cooking, sense of humor and catered all the family functions. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.   Surviving are her children, Maria G. Perez, Josefina (Victor) Duran, Lucia (Benito) Perales, Teresa (Vidal Jr.) Hernandez, Tito (Elida) Martinez Jr., Olga (Eleodoro) Martinez, Magdalena (Daniel) Miranda, Micaela (Damacio) Sifuentes, Alejandro (Gloria), Roberto (Carmelita) Martinez; 44 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, 37 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Josefa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tito Sr., 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.   Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, December 27 and Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 2-9 pm with recitation of the rosary on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 10:15 am and proceed to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
