Josefina 'œJosy' Linares Garcia, 53, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 19, 1957 to Francisco and Odilia (Rodriguez) Linares Garcia. In 1978, she graduated from B.G.S.U. with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Josy was employed with HCR Manorcare as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems. She was very active in charities, chairing both the United Way campaign and American Heart Association Heart Walk at HCR Manorcare. Josy was a very caring and involved single mom, engaging her three children in many school and community activities. Surviving are her three children, Arsinio Velasquez, Anita Trevino, Jose Santos Trevino and their father, Jose L. Trevino; brothers, Luis (Teresa) Linares, Daniel Linares, Dr. Antonio (Martha) Linares, Pedro Garcia, and Santos (Tina) Garcia; dogs, Chula and Harley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the US and Mexico. Josy was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am Thursday with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
