Joseph A. Alvarado, 69, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on June 28, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 22, 1954 to Joseph and Sofia (Cacho) Alvarado. After graduating from Waite High School, he went on to become a Nuclear Electrician Master Journeyman and obtained several Certificates during his time. He worked for Toledo Edison for many years. Joe was an avid runner, enjoyed fishing, cooking and traveling to Mexico, especially Puerto Vallarta. He had a strong passion for real estate and property management. What he cherished most of all was his children, grandchildren and loving family who will miss him dearly.

Joe is survived by his sons, Michael Alvarado, Eric (Jennifer) Alvarado; grandchildren, Estrella, Marina, Isabella, Gia; great grandson, Ezekiel; sisters, Sylvia (Thomas) Coleman, Gloria Czesak; nephews, Tomás, Daniel, Anthony (Jamie), Mark; and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Alvarado.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Friday, July 7, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary and family sharing at 7:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 729 White St., Toledo, Ohio, 43605 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m.
