Joseph W. Brown Sr. 65 of east Toledo passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 6, 2009 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Joe was born in McKeesport, PA to William and Edna (Colter) Brown. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a 45 year veteran truck driver working for Balm Trucking, Penske, Nagle and many other various truck companies. Joe was a member of East Toledo Baptist Church. Surviving are his children, Joseph W. Brown Jr., Tina L. (Pat) Ashman, Tonya L. (Kevin) Waxler, Theresa L. (Richard) Lautzenheiser, Joseph W. (Evelyn) Brown II, Jeff W. Brown, Jason W. (Katie) Brown, April (Mark) Brown; 28 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers Thomas Brown and Chester Lajzer Jr.. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Brown; brothers, Bill and Tim; sister, Edna. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Joe's memory are asked to consider East Toledo Baptist Church.
