Joseph R. Dombroff, Aka "Coach Cheesy" 61, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on November 22, 1958 to Gerald and Margaret (Blaze) Dombroff. He graduated from Waite High School in 1977. Joe was a life long member of Local 55 and proud to be an Iron Worker. His dad was an iron worker and passed the skill set down through the family. Joe, and his brothers, all followed in their dad's footsteps. Joe was a hard worker with everything that he did. His dream was to own a farm and raise his family away from the city hustle and bustle. He accomplished that and much more. Once his children started in sports, Joe began to coach them as well other kids in the community. By doing so this allowed the community to understand that Joe was on a mission. A mission to prove that the underdog can succeed. Joe was amused with all sports, but loved baseball the most. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan because his twin boys were born in 1987 , the same year the Twins won the World Series. Some might say Joe should have been a Therapists, because of the many hours that he consoled friends and family at the kitchen table and the fire pit. He left the door open for anyone, at any given time to come and talk. As long as you were okay with the music being played you were welcomed into his life....Joe loved all music. More than everything "Big Joe" ,"Coach Cheesy", "Masterdomis", " Louie " was a friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had a chance to meet him. Joe is survived by his children, Davina, Adam and Andrew Dombroff; grandchildren, Koralyn and Jaxson; Former wife, Robin Pettrey; brothers, Tom and Tony Dombroff and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mike and Jerry Dombroff. A celebration of life will be held on October 24, 2020 at 7803 Brown Road Curtice, Ohio 43412 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Please No flowers for Joe wasn't a flower guy. Food and beer will be good.
