Joseph Thomas Foor Jr., 63, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 15, 2022 surrounded by his family. Tom was born October 26, 1958 in Oregon, Ohio to Joseph and Isabelle (Beauch) Foor. In 1977, Tom graduated from Waite High School. In 1979, he joined the United States Navy serving as a boilermaker aboard the USS Saratoga. Following military service, Tom worked as a machinist for many years with Revlon Cosmetics in Phoenix, Arizona. A lifelong football fan, Tom loved to cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes and was a longtime coach with the East Toledo Junior Football League. He was a longtime member of Barton Smith Masonic Lodge # 613 where he served as Past Master and was High Priest of Ft. Meigs Lodge # 29.
Tom is survived by his siblings, Beverly (Brady) Tye, Debie (David) Smith, Howard (Becky) Foor, and Matthew (Heather) Miller; son, Joshua J. Foor; along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Kathy.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S., Coy Road Friday, May 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm where a Masonic Lodge service will be held at 7:30 pm. Funeral services Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment: Toledo Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the American Heart Association or Elara Hospice of Toledo.
