Joseph Lester Garvin, 56, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on January 29, 2015 at his childhood home in East Toledo. He was born May 3, 1958 to Thomas and Rose (Marcinek) Garvin. Joseph was an avid hunter and fisherman and an average golfer, all things he enjoyed doing with his dad, brothers, sister and friends. He also really just loved the outdoors in general. Joe could always make us laugh and smile and could strike up a conversation that would make any occasion interesting, to say the least. He spent his early years in East Toledo where he attended Good Shepherd Grade School and then Cardinal Stritch High School. He later moved to northern Indiana where he was married and helped raise a family. After his wife's passing, he returned to Toledo, Ohio to live out his remaining years doing the things he loved to do with the people he loved. He was able to share that time with his mother and father before their passing, and now he is at peace with all of his loved ones that have passed before him. He is preceded in death by his mother Rose (Marcinak) Garvin and his father Thomas Garvin Sr. He is survived by his brother Thomas (Dana) Garvin Jr., sister Kathleen (Garvin) Ginter, brother Jaymes Garvin, aunt Helen (Marcinek) Evanoff and his niece Melissa (Will) Carter, niece Rachael Garvin, nephew Richard Ginter and great-niece Ada Carter. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
