Joseph J. Marquette, 83, of Oregon, OH passed away January 20, 2004 in Orchard Villa. He was born in Kane,
PA on November 20, 1920 to James and Rosaria (Sylvestri) Marquette. Joseph was an Army veteran of WWII
serving Company C 726 MP's in the Pacific and European Theater. He was employed by Libbey Owens Ford
as a millwright for 30 years and was a member of the Alba Club, Christ Dunberger American Legion Post,
Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School and Catechism for several years.
Surviving are is wife, Erma M.; children, Jo Ann (Ron) Wilka, Walbridge, OH, Carol (Dan) Lucas, Cumming,
GA, Nancy (Daniel) Jaegle, Denver, CO and James R. (Kim) Cousino; sister, Mary Tunks; 9 grandchildren and
3 great-grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon A. Cousino; brothers,
Anthony, Michael and Daniel Marquette and Albert Alessandrini; sister, Florence Clegg.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy
Road, Oregon, OH on Thursday, January 22, 2004 from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on
Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Contributions in Joseph's memory can
be made to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice or Orchard Villa.
