Obituary

Joseph Nagy, 90, formerly of the Wright Harvey House in Nothwood, OH passed away May 31, 2004 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on February 27, 1914 in Toledo, OH to Nicholas, Sr. and Mary B.(Juhasz) Nagy. Joe was a pattern maker for 45 years and was last employed by General Motors Tech Center in Warren, MI, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp Camp, life member of the Monroe Moose Lodge and member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Joe was and avid bow hunter and instrumental in opening Nagy Brothers Archery in East Toledo. He was also an amateur ham radio operator (AJ8F) "Joe". Surviving are his brothers, Stephen (Irene) and F. Richard "Dick" Nagy; sisters, Mary Nagy Ondrus and Veronica (Ray) Maciolak and many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Elmer L. and Nicholas, Jr.; sisters, Helen Rutkai and Gazella Hrivnyak. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Eckart celebrating. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Stephen Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Joe's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Wright Harvey House, where he had lived for the past 5 years. Arrangements are being handled by the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Homes. Visitation: Visitation Times None
