Obituary

Joseph A. Pasternak, Jr., 88 of Oregon, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Joe was born in Toledo, Ohio 0n March 17, 1925 to Joesph A. Sr. and Helen (Rabatim) Pasternak. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and also a Korean War Army Veteran. Joe retired in 1990 from Local 55 where he was an iron worker for 40 years. Surviving are the love of his life, Carol Pasternak; step-children, Jason, James, David, Carol Lynn Harvey, Carrie (Lloyd) Yarger; nieces and nephews, Carol LaBounty, Marlene (John) Toepfer, Bob, George, Mark Rajner; 7 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren. Also surviving are many great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Thursday, Dec. 26 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Joe'™s name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
