Joseph E. "Perch" Pellek, 78 of Toledo, OH passed away October 16, 2003 in Arbors at Oregon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Toledo, OH on July 5, 1925 to Joseph and Barbara Pellek. Joseph was a World War II US Army Veteran and was employed by Brown Pontiac as an auto mechanic until retiring due to disability. He enjoyed working on cars, taking care of the yard, walking the Woodville Mall and spending time with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Patricia; daughter, Gail (James) Eck; granddaughter, Lorianne (Sean) Ryan; great-grandchildren, Connor and Delaney Ryan; sister, Bernice (Fred) Weihs and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Friday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery. Contributions in Joseph's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
