Joseph Petersberger Jr., 67, of Toledo passed away October 11, 2008, at Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 19, 1941, to Joseph and Dorothy (Lang) Petersberger Sr. Joseph was an inspector for General Motors, retiring in 1998 after 38 1/2 years of service. He was very active in the German American Society, past president of Bavarian Benevolence Society and past GAF trustee. Joseph also was a member of the Bavarian Sports Club, Swiss Club of Altoona, PA and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #197. He was assistant scout master of Larchmont School, Scout Troop #264. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Cathy; sons, Joseph M. (Karen) and Kenneth J. Petersberger; grandson Matthew J. (love of opa's life), and sister-in-law, Sr. Barbara Sloan, SND. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Monday, October 13, 2008, from 2-9 p.m.. and on Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
