Joseph Talamantez, 76, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Joe was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 3, 1939 to Marcos and Jesusa (Mejia) Talamantez. On June 7, 1958, he married the love of his life, Sarah Taylor. Joe worked for over 40 years as an independent office equipment technician. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending the many plants around his home. Joe's true passion was helping others. Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sarah; children, Mike (Susan) Talamantez, Sue (Bob) Mitchell, and Dan (Patti) Talamantez; grandchildren, Tony, Heather, Angela, Mindy, B.J., Lindsey, Daniel, Renee, and Ryan; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Lee (Donna) Talamantez; along with many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcos; mother, Jesusa Allan; brother, Roberto Talamantez; and great-grandson, Chance. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
