Joseph A. Tobak, 96, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 in his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 14, 1911 to John and Mary Tobak. Joe started working for Toledo Edison in the mailroom at age seventeen and retired as a boiler operator at age 65. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the I.B.E.W Local #245 for over 70 years. Joe was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing golf and tennis and was inducted into the Birmingham Hall of Fame.
Surviving are his daughter, Rosemary J. Cowles; grandchildren, Jason Finn, Shannon Delffs and Joanna Alford; great grandchildren, Austin Finn and Layla Alford; nephew, Tom Tobak and nieces, Carolyn Vaughn and Alice Horvath. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and a sister.
Friends and family may visit at the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm.
