Josephine Victoria (Dioletti) Hentges, 78, of Oregon, Ohio, died peacefully, surrounded by family, March 18, 2021. Josephine was born October 24, 1942, to Nicholas and Connie Dioletti, in East Toledo, Ohio. Jo attended Holy Rosary (East Toledo) School and was a 1960 graduate of Morrison R Waite High School, East Toledo, Ohio. While in high school, Jo met the love of her life, Michael W. Hentges, at a CYO dance. They were married, June 19, 1964.Jo worked at the National Biscuit Company grain transfer station in East Toledo, and National Family Opinion.She was also the long-time school secretary at Holy Rosary School, East Toledo, for nearly 30 years, and taught cake decorating to 8th grade classes for many of those years. She loved working with the children; she viewed the students as family. She was a member of Holy Rosary East Toledo Parish, until it closed, then becoming part of the Saint Ignatius Catholic Community Family, Oregon, Ohio.
Jo's greatest love was her family, spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She also LOVED shopping, attending craft shows and playing Bunco. Her Bunco group was active for over 50 years. Jo did not have friends or acquaintances; everyone she met became family.
Jo is preceded in death by her mother, Connie (Pirolli) Dioletti, Father, Nicholas Dioletti, and brother, Dominic Dioletti. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Michael W. Hentges, sons Michael (John Crandall), Andrew (Lori) Hentges; daughter, Connie (Nathan) Hurley; grandchildren, Danielle Hentges, Mitchell Hurley, Mason Hurley, sister, Victoria (Pasquale) Cicora, Sisters-in-law, Patricia (Richard) Burkholder, Judy (Dominic) Dioletti, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd, Oregon, Ohio, Monday, March 22 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with the recitation of the rosary at 6:00 pm. Family will also receive friends beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 23 with prayers beginning at 12:15 pm and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Road, for Mass of Christian Burial held at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Jo's memory are asked to consider St. Louis Helping Hands or St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
