Josephine F. Villarreal, 66, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Orchard Villa Retirement Community.
She was born in Tahoka, Texas on October 4, 1944 to Francisco and Amelia (Fuentes) Gonzales. On March 24, 1962, she married Hugo Villareal. Josephine was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was active in lay ministries and the Guadalupe Society. She enjoyed teaching and crafting ceramics. Josephine loved cooking, music, and playing cards. Her true passion was spending time with 'œThe Girls' and her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Josephine is survived by her daughters, Monica (Mike) Schultz, Sonia (Rick) Mills, Letty (Bill Newton), Elisa (Homero) Martinez, and Christina (Mike Willhite); 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, on Monday, April 11 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday, April 12 from 2:00-8:00 pm where a Rosary and Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 9:45 am Wednesday April 13 with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
