Joshua Patrick McCoy, 22, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 8, 2024, surrounded by his family at the University of Michigan Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Josh was born August 29, 2001, in Bowling Green, Ohio to his parents Mitchell McCoy Jr. and Jennifer Feehan. Josh was a graduate of Penta Career Center and was a welder and CNC operator with Swanton Welding. Josh loved anything with a motor! From a young age, he worked alongside his dad and brother rebuilding and repairing motorcycles. He was the proud owner of a 2007 Harley Davidson Blue Heritage Softail Motorcycle. Josh treasured the times he spent with his dad on their many motorcycle ventures and always found time to give his mom a ride too. An avid outdoorsman, Josh enjoyed fishing, spending time in his garage, and relaxing with friends around a bonfire. Josh was loved by everyone and made everyone in his presence feel loved and appreciated. While receiving cancer treatments at Toledo Children's Hospital, he provided great confront and support to the young children who were being treated alongside him. Josh will be remembered for his powerful hugs and willingness to help those in need.
Josh is survived by his parents Mitchell McCoy and Jennifer (Dave Eschedor) Feehan; love of his life, Anna Rew; siblings, Benjamin (Baleigh) McCoy and Taylor (Doug Whited) McCoy; grandparents, Mitchell Sr. & Terry McCoy, Don & Mary Feehan; great-grandparents, Tim & Betty Feehan; his cat, Shadow; along with many aunts, uncles, loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm with family present from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Those attending are asked to wear their riding gear or dress casually. On Thursday, March 14, 2024, family and friends are asked to gather at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am. A procession of motorcycles will leave the funeral home promptly at 11:15 am an proceed to Price of Peace Lutheran Church, 4155 Pickle Road, Oregon for funeral service at 12:00 noon. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Promedica Russell J. Ebied Children's Hospital or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Josh's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the numerous doctors and nurses who have cared for him over the past three years.
